Instead of fighting with religious principles, why can't we act high-mindedly and say something like this? After all, gay, straight, bi, tri, pan or whatever is only a designation we have and the soul is free of material designations even religious ones.

I'd like to see the gay community move towards making the issue one of human rights - ya know, sponsor demonstrations that are not a party, show up in everyday clothes, is open to all disenfranchised, and make the point that people are people and are all entitled to the same legal rights and privileges of the majority. Religion is a red herring and I think we'd benefit more by changing the discussion.

A bit wordy, but I understand the notion.
I don't fight religious principles, mine don't clash with my sexuality.
It's all those bashers, haters, hypocritical fundies that I have no patiences for.

I agree in a way. I believe what is sin is different to different people of different beliefs. We are free to make choices regarding our own constraints.
