My daughter is 11 and is after me constantly to let her start shaving. I have one friend who says I should get her started using Nair, not shaving, because it lasts longer and hair grows back softer. I myself shave but what a pain! I do it every day and after all this time I still get nics and cuts! Does anyone have any advice on this? I'd like to get my daughter started on something that will work out the best for her in the long run. Thanks in advance!

My daughter and I shave but we stay away from the disposable razors. They cut us up everytime. I like the Gilette razor with three blades the best. I've tried Nair but I've never been good at getting all the hair off. Also, I find I'm kinda messy with it. You could try it and see what your daughter thinks; just stay away from those disposables!

Yea the best thing to do is use nair because when I first shaved I had to use hair clippers because I was 14 when I first starting shaving and my legs has scars on them from where I cut them alot

Use Gillettes Mach 3. Shave with the grain (shave down not up) to avoid nics.

I began shaving at 12 or 13, and I always used gillette razors, now, I use the Venus razor and absolute love it. It has three blades and a head that moves so I don't ever get nicked.

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are
temporary hair removal methods.
Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful.
