at first yes because the horse knows you're new to riding and will try and out do you. you must, first, show the horse who is boss with groundwork. never ever get up on a horse you don't know. thats why you start working with it slowly. then when you get to know the horse well enough start saddling it but only ride the horse where the horse and you know the area. its dangerous if you ride in an area where both of you haven't been.but once you get the hang of horseback riding, it becomes easy. but i've been riding since i was about 6 months old and now im 13.

sort of, it depends on the horse, if you get a realy terrible horse, then your oviously gna have abit of a hard time. in some riding skools, they make you ride the same horse all the time, so you cant get much experiance. some riding skools give you different horses all the time, so you can learn more, and there for it can be harder, because you dont know all the different horses. you realy shouyld learn though, it is such great fun!!!!!!!

As a lifelong equestrian suggest absolutely lessons. I grew up riding ponies bareback then onto horses. Along the way I took lessons in the various styles. saddle-seat, western, english, western, driving, hunter etc.... The one basic thing is called your "seat". That requires lots of riding time. Some people are just naturally more talented at riding just like in art. I tried to teach my daughter it was a horrible mistake. She fell and got hurt. It took 4 years with an excellent instructor to overcome the stupidity of my trying to teach her.

If you have a good instructor, it's not hard. It is challenging, though. It's a lot of work, and you will be sore the first few times. Horseback riding is an expensive hobby, so be sure you can afford both the time and the expense that it will take.

No. But you do have to learn. Horses are smart. They will try to take charge if you let them in the beginning. You must be confident, so go get some lessons and you will be great at it.

It's pretty easy, but its rough on your body, and always remember the horse is pretty smart they don't always want to go on a walk sometimes, or not usually in the same silly path. :)
Ride a little bit over and over and with the same horse, this way they get used to you and you to them.
Carrots help.
Good Luck.

not really, as long as you are learning on a horse that has already been broken (riden alot) for you. But it can be challenging.... It nay seem easy at first but it will get harder, and just remember, you haven't really rode a horse untill you fall off, that's what my father used to tell me when I was little, so if you fall off just forget about and keep trying! Good luck!!!!!

it can be easy if you have a good trainer and a good horse! but if you just hop on a green horse with niether of you having any training...it wont go well at all! its bad for obth of you, you because you can get hurt and the horse because they learn bad habits! so be sure to find a good trainer who can teach you on a good safe school horse!

It's easy, but the horse will sense it if you're afraid. Be confident & in charge.
When you've got enough experience, take a ride at a full-on gallop----one of the most exhilirating things ever!!
