Im a girl, and i know that guys have to get their piercing on a certain side to show they're not gay, or are - but wot about girls? Do we have to do it on a certain side too? I dont want to be giving out some message by accident!!

Aparently if you peirce your right ear it means your gay. And if you peirce your left it means your straight. i got my right done by mistake and was humiliated. i eventually took it out and got the left one done.

The "right ear = gay, left ear = straight" is so old, it's just not valid anymore. I recently got my cartiledge, tragus, conch and rook pierced, all in my left ear: not to show I'm not gay, but because I sleep on my right side more, and talk on the phone more on that side. It's a cleanliness/pain thing. Think about which ear you sleep on most, or use most with a phone, and don't pick that one. Don't worry about seeming 'gay' by choosing the right ear: that's such an 80's thing.

I was told the right means you're gay. I got mine on the left, it seemed to be the standard,. But it's all pretty stupid. Get whatever side you'd like. Liking member of the same sex makes you gay, not getting your ear pierced. If someone is so ignorant they can't see that, it's not someone I would be trying to impress.

I see it more on the left. I don't really know if it means anything. I do know that it's painful, according to a girl I know who got it done. I'd think twice before doing it, but then, I'm a chicken when it comes to pain.

your left ear yours not the one your friend sees, the ear on the left of the mirror. it means your flirty and it looks cute with hair tucked back and a smile ;)

just look in the mirror and decide which side you think it would look better on, thats all that matters.
make sure u take care of it afterwards, so it doesnt get infected!

girl or guy it doesnt matter wat side you do it in it's personal prefference if someone is going to judge you by ur piercings then they need to get a life
