What does it mean to you? How do you interpret it?

I think it could mean so many things to different people because to me its about two people in a fire but also a deeper meaning maybe the fire of burning love and a love leaving? But it only means different things to me as I may have experienced feelings that relate to the feeling of burning fire of love?
I wonder what you all felt and why.

I think that it's a ballad about desperate, burning, and unfulfilled love. It's clever the way she pronounces Sophia as "So-fire".
I normally listen to music for pleasure so I don't want the thought of anyone burning alive to enter my head! However, in the video, the director has taken the fire reference literally so sets everything alight including the piano!

its a brilliant song and I interpret it as someone alone its quiet a sad song. Her albums called fires and I swear its just one about a girl called sophia left in the fire and probably died or something. About a boy who was also in it cause she goes he haunts me and then says sophia im burning i cant put it out. And now she is alone perhaps sophia lived and the boy died. And nerina is singing about Sophia being alone now hes gone and she can still hear him saying its a fire i cant put out. So basically I think it means that.
