No one in history has died *FROM* AIDS.
Your brother died from an opportunistic disease due to his being immunosuppressed, much the same as diabetics dying from opportunistic diseases and/or conditions promoting such.
As to how he acquired the virus, that cannot be answered any more easily as to why he died from complications arising from having AIDS. You've provided scant information.
To the first respondent, LESS THAN FOUR PERCENT of all HIV/AIDS cases reported were transmitted/contracted via homosexual sex.
Best Wishes!

I'am very sorry that your brother died. I also had a cousin die from aids 15 years ago also, maybe if they had the meds that they have now maybe they would still be with us. I know its such a horrbille death I saw my cousin go down hill its really sad to see someone close to you die like that. I can't tell you why he had to die all I can say is that I feel for you. Take care.

Why did my friend die of a heart attack 3 weeks ago?
It is unfortunate that some people die younger than others. It is also unfortunate that there are diseases that cause early demise in MANY people.
I hear the pain of loss. I get the regrets, the anger, and the resentment. I understand the need to blame somebody or something.
The sad truth is the longer you live the more times you experience this type of loss. You eventually understand that death is part of life. Other people's death, or your own... it happens to everybody.

Sorry about your brother.
Maybe it'd help some if you turned your anger against a society that did so little about this disease for so long because it was erroneously labeled a gay plague instead of just turning your anger against innocent people and blaming them. AIDS is not a gay disease. It's infected many, many more straights by straight to straight transmission than by gay sex. Hating and blaming gay people is never going to make you feel better. You know this is not our fault. It's tragic. It's a disease. It has nothing to do with sexual orientation.

Maybe, your brother would be disappointed in the way u are so hateful toward other people.....maybe its good that he is not here to see how harsh u are and judgmental...u act so religious then u would know that judgment is ultimately up to god...why do u represent someone u claim to love so poorly..good thing i believe in Karma.
