If a foreign stock share could be listed on the domestic exchange, say NYSE-but denominated in a foreign currency on the exchange, would there be a profit advantage to that? Not refering to ADRs.

Typically, foreign stocks listed on our exchanges are ADRs. When you speak of profit advantages, are you referring to currency fluctuations? It's probably a moot point, since you can often buy foreign stocks on their exchanges through your US broker...
