this is an example of a double displacement reaction:
AB + CD = AC + BD

soo, just a random example:
NaCl + H20 = NaH + ClO

That's not a precise equation, but for the sake of examples, that's what I chose....so a double displacement is two compounds combining into 2 differents compounds..
