I'm building a custom computer and have looked on websites for steps on how to do it. One website told me the things I needed, one was a chassis. I haven't heard of this before. Can anyone explain what this is?

Think about it in terms of an automobile. The chassis of a car is what supports the doors fenders engine etc. The frame. Same with a computer. It is the frame, the box, you put the cpu, motherboard, powersupply etc, inside. some say dell or sony on them. But it's just the box that holds the insides.

Hope this helps.
