wrap it in a plastic bag long enough to cover the cast and part of your arm/leg (whatever is broken). Seal it with an elastic band. Make sure if it is your arm to leave enough room at the end to maneuver your hand. Good luck - sorry for the break - uncomfortable to say the least.

Put a plastic bag over it. A trash bag works for both long and short arm casts. Secure the open end with tape. This is free of charge. Or buy a cast cover. This is not free.

I would recommend a tall kitchen trash bag with draw strings, first wrap a towel around cast, then insert in trash gag and close, make sure a little of the towel is hanging over edge so water dose not seep in.

If you ask your doctor or call your local visiting nurse's they have this really cool glove that is plastic and you just put it on it goes up to your shoulder and then there is a velcro band that you use to hold it in place. It works really well.

It might sound silly , but If it were me .. I'd just wrap it in Saran Wrap each time I took a shower .. and then just throw it away. It will keep the water off .. and stay on if you wrap it around once or twice :) Good Luck !

Wrap it in seran wrap before the shower but still try to keep it away from the water. Obviously try to bathe instead of shower if possible...
