Roy Walker

Roy Walker is indeed dead. Not in the mortal sense however. His body is very much still alive, but it is said that his soul died when he left our TV screens as presenter of CatchPhrase.

Roy dabbled briefly with setting up another quiz show with a similar format to the ITV show. As this was entirely self financed and filmed in Roy's house it never made it to our screens. Roy had spent 3 years cutting out pieces of paper to cover hand drawn pictures. When a contestant answered a question correctly, he would pull off one of these pieces of paper. Contestants were hard to come by though, as Roy's drawings depicted horrific scenes of rotting corpses and bondage.

At this stage, Roy, like many celebrities, turned to the drink and it was now that his soul died. It is rumoured he sold his soul to Russ Abbott after a drunken poker game. Russ will neither confirm nor deny this.

Roy Walker is not dead. Is there confusion between him and Roy Castle - as Roy C is dead?!

Roy recently appeared in Channel 4's hit TV series PHOENIX NIGHTS and presented a six part comedy series THE WAY WE TELL 'EM for BBC Radio, Northern Ireland.

He continues to headline concert, theatre and cabaret engagements throughout Britain and overseas.

On the personal side, his three children, Mark, Phil and Josie are all making exciting careers for themselves in showbusiness.

Away from showbusiness, Roy's interests are golf, horses, skiing and sailing.

I don't think so.

You're not the first person to think this, though. My dad swore blind that Roy Walker was dead, and as he didn't believe me, he rung my mum up at work to ask her!

Not that I know of......he hasn't been on tv for a while though.

There's a new presenter on Catchphrase but can't remember his name.
