I'm sorry I meant rhetorical analysis... like of another writes work

state and describe in detail what you are trying to argue objectively (without bias).
then write about there are two views on the issue.
then in the next 2 paragraphs write a well developed view on each and ellaborate fully.
then conclude your findings. Such as "this is blah blah blah, however on the contrary..."

Start with the general idea. The basic idea. Look at both sides of the story. Think of everything kind of on a balance scale. List basic pros and cons. For every positive comment, counteract it with a negative response. This will blend the rhetorical/argument. Be sure to support both sides. Remember the focus is not the writer but the reader. The audience is the reader so be sure it is understandable and clear. Have other read it and help you clarify your thoughts while you are putting it together. be sure to incorporate various views. Consider leaving the argument open for the reader to come to his/her own conclusion of what they believe to be true. Think of it as a debate. Kind of like a defense and a prosecuting argument would be in court. The reader will be the juror, and the author the reporter.
