It is being used by either your onboard video or your video card. If you want it back get a new video card that doesn't use system RAM, most of the newer ones don't.

they are 512 , 32 used by VGA > Graphic Accelerator , You can increase it ( Cant decerase it less than 32 ) Just press delete in the beggining of the Boot to enter Bios setup , i think 480 Rams are enough though , i used to work with 128 and sometimes 64 , just get a good copy of windows , dont use Anti virus unless you really need it , No programs you dont need , etc... ,i think that will make your computer faster ( I think it is already fast )

When your PC is on, it is using part of RAM, along with your screensaver and anything else you loaded in startup. Example, at this writing, I have 512mb RAM, but according to "system information" I have 199mb available -- I am online, and have Word open, along with Norton, etc etc.

are you using onboard graphics card? since im guess thats where the other 32mb is being applied to the graphics card.
so only way to get it to 512mb, is to install a agp,pci graphics card.

You are using it, of course.
