My period is 5 days late. I went to the doctors about three weeks ago because I wasn't feeling well, the doctor did some blood test which also included a pregnancy test. All the test came back negative. Now I'm confused because now three weeks later I'm 5 days late. I was wondering could I still pregnant and that the blood test just wasn't picking it up yet.

The same thing just happened to me, i wasn't feeling well so i went to the doctor and she did test which included pregnancy test, and it came up negative, well 4 weeks later i was 8 days late and went back to the doctor and the test came up postive and i was about 3 weeks pregnant. so you just probably need to do a home test , and if comes up negative, then go to your doctor and do a blood test again and see what it says, now if it comes up negative again i don't know what to tell ya. Ask your doctor to do futher tests to see why you are late and not even pregnant. well good luck to you.

Well I went to the doctor to get on birth control and was a week late for my period so she ordered a blood test for a pregnancy test...2 and 1/2 weeks later I started my period....Stress has a big thing to do with it. If you worry and worry yourself that you may be pregnant it could be delaying your period. Also USE CONDOMS....unless you're trying!

The same thing happened to my auntie, she had loads of blood tests and these all came back negative, the child in question is now 5.
Stranger things have happened, but to be sure try doing a HPT as the bloods you had were most probably too early to detect the pregnancy hormone!

Certainly...the first blood tests may have been done too early. Take an HPT and then call your doc for confirmation with another blood test. You may even want to demand an ultrasound if that blood test comes up negative.

Yes. Your hormone levels may not have been high enough three weeks ago. If you are pregnant, you would have just gotten pregnant -- go back to the doctor or get an EPT.

A blood test is the most accurate pregnancy test that you can take if it is not detected that you are pregnant most likely your not.
