Tutoring someone across a distance is tough - not as tough as trouble-shooting sporadic windows operating system issues but almost.

the following would be most helpful ::

1) mic(rophone) & earphones or speakers would be great. that way you can communicate verbally which is sometimes easier than trying to type some issue or correction; it can help clarify where someone is misunderstanding

2) mathematics software (preferrably opensource/freeware since any particular individual may not have nor be able to afford mathematica, maple, mathcard, or macsyma etc)

some decent free ones are ::

http://gnuplot.sourceforge.net/
http://phong.informatik.uni-leipzig.de/~kuska/mview3d.html/

3) whiteboard drawing software that you can use to interact and sketch out problems and solutions

happy tutoring,
Thomas (former tutor long ago when i was obtaining my applied math bachelors - it was a blast helping people and getting paid for it but the room got *too* crowded at midterm and finals time)

As an preparation specialist my recommendations are a million - you've a good Maths grade. Employers ask for Grade C or above so no prefer to get a better grade as far as jobs bypass. 2 - TEFL provides you with the variety of tremendous number of techniques. once you've a area of interest 12 months you could go back and forth global and use the TEFL to make funds for your self. only one note of caution.......extremely some respected establishments do no longer settle for an on-lineTEFL. good success

You may use MathCad if level of tutoring is not advanced, otherwise use Mathematica.
