If your an online shopper try Ebay, they always have great deals for low prices. If not, then go to EB games, Gamestop, Target, Best Buy, or Circuit city. They should have some new ones and maybe some pre-played ones that are still good for a lower price. The last PS2 that I bought was $120 and make sure to buy a memory card so he can save his games. It comes with one controller so if he wants to play against someone your going have to buy a separate controller for about $25. Remember that the console box does not include any games. Make sure to buy at least one game for a start. Hope this was useful!

The store " Game Stop" in the midwest is a store that sells used and new PS2 systems. I bought a previously used system and it has worked very, very well. Not a glitch. I got it for $100.00
Which is about $50.00 less than what they go for....brand new. Just a suggestion....

Depending on how you feel about E-bay... that's where I bought mine. PS2 slim with case, 2 controllers, 3 mem. sticks and there was about 10 games also included. I paid $150.
E-bay is great for deals but... just be careful. It's also full of scammers.

circuit city and best buy are good electronic stores that sale game systems like the ps2 for your son.

Check Gamestop or EB Games. They sell both used (which are refurbished) and new systems. You could also stock up on games (new or used) there too! I like Gamestop the best! Hope I helped you out!

if your looking for cheap, try a pawn shop. Ps2 has been out for awhile. You can also try the newspaper. If your looking for a new one, you can get them just about anywhere they sell electronics.
