Actually if you have a tampon in you CAN go swimming! Not with a pad though. Other than that you can do basically anything you can normally do. Change your pad or tampon frequently, but you dont have to change it every time you use the restroom (although if I'm using a tampon, I change it everytime I go #2 just to make sure everything stays clean, sorry if thats too much info!) usually changing it every 2 to 4 hours is fine, or sooner if you're bleeding a lot. Hmm, what else? You can usually flush tampons but not pads, wrap up whatever you dont flush in toilet paper. Oh and no one can tell that you have your period unless you bleed through your pants or something, so just go about your day and do what you normally would.

You can swim as long as your wearing a thick tampon, but you can't swim with pads. Take some Midol..... you'll regret it later if you don't. Get some more rest..... periods tend to make people tired and depressed. Don't wear a small pad if your flow is heavy..... the thick pads may feel like diapers but its better than getting a leak. You might start breaking out on your face and chest, but it will go away after your period is over.

You can still go swimming just wear a tampon. Change your pad every time you go to the bathroom or every 2 to 3 hours. Take some pain killers and wear something comfy.

There really aren't any RULES. What exactly do you mean? is this your first period?
Well you probably know to wear a pad or tampon, right? Change them often, depending on how heavy it is....You can swim, as long as you're wearing a tampon...

You can swim, just wear a tampon. I always avoid wearing white just in case, and drink lots of water. Try to stay away from sodas and salty stuff it will just make you more bloated. And anything with elastic is great, lol!

you can swim with a tampon, but drink alot of water to help mellow cramps and be sure to get plenty of excersize for the same reason. Change your pad/tampon every 4-6 hours, or when there odor.
