i'm trying to use itunes to download music

Not sure if I'm understanding the question completely or not but sounds like you want to know if your internet connection is active or not.

One method would be to have windows show the connection status icon in your system tray. You can do this by going to control panel. Open Network and Internet connections. Right click on the connection for your internet and go to properties. Click on the check box that says "Show icon in notification area when connected" and click the check box that says "Notify me when this connection has limited or no connectivity".

After you do this you can simply look in the system tray (notification area) for the connection icon. You can mouse over it for more details.

double click on My Network Places and check if there is a connection, right click on that connection and click on status

i receiving errors message as Yahoo! Mail became into no longer able to connect. Please reload the website or be sure that your community connection is energetic. while i'm attempting to work out the mails won or despatched..
