You answered this one all by yourself. Yeah if she would have wanted you to know she would have talked to you about it. She is most likely embarrassed that she has found herself in this situation. Give her some space and be there if she needs you.

I think it depends on how close a friend she is to you. If she is just a casual friend, I would say nothing. If she is a close friend, I'd let her know that you found out about her situation and tell her how you found out. Because, face it, when you pose questions or give answers they're in a public forum - anyone can read them. I would then let her know that you care and that you are available if she needs anyone to talk to. Then I wouldn't say anymore to her about it. Let her bring it up to you if and when she wants to.

You figured it out. Any sensitive issue like that should allow people to maintain their privacy. If you want to take her out for coffee or tea and then wait for her to say something, then that would be better if you want to provide a shoulder to lean on.

I worry that I'm gonna give away some dark secrets on this forum, as it seems your friend has, but are you sure she was being serious? She could have been fantasizing, or exaggerating. Mind you, if it was her, and you approach her the right way, she might be really glad to confide in you, and get it off her chest.

If she thinks it's any of your business, then she'll come out and tell you. On the other hand, she is airying her dirty laundry online for millions to see, so.................if your sure it's HER, maybe offer your friendship and let her know your there for her, IF you are!! Let her know she has a friend she can confide in without having to turn to the computer and strangers.

Let her maintain her privacy. If she had wanted to share with you, she would have. It's between her, and her husband. Leave it at that!

Don't tell her you figured it out. Just drop a few hints that you are there for her to talk to if she ever needs you. Comfort her and give her sound advice when asked - but keep your mouth shut until she asks.

You shouldn't tell her, cuz like you said if she wanted to you know she would have told you, but she probably is embarrassed and doesn't want anybody she knows to figure it out. If she wants your opinion she will tell you.

Let her have her privacy. Yes, if she wanted your advice or for you to know, she would have told you.

You know, it takes class to keep your mouth closed. What do you gain by telling her what you figured out? Are we talking about your pride or what?
