I am 18 and I'm very well off money wise! 2. I lost my parents 2 Yrs ago so I had to grow up faster then most, I deal with Lawyers and other people who are rich! It would be stupid for me to talk abunch of slang when I'm making a deal worth $1,000,000.00!! I feel like it would be stupid for me to destroy everything my Dad left me just so I can sound Cool!! Please tell me what U think!

No it's not stupid! There is a time and place for everything and time speak in slang terms is definitely not when your conducting formal business. Now when your with friends and family, we all know that we speak in a different mannerism. Now, anyone with a small bit of intelligence would understand that and if your friend didn't well just shows that she carries her ignorance with her at all times. That that she feels speaking in a proper manner makes a person sound old really show that she is not too bright when it comes to proper educate.

Ok, first of all, that girl isn't using her brain if she thinks you "sound" old over the phone. That is really rude of her because she doesn't even know you for you! Why would you want to be around someone who doesn't even appreciate you? Be confident in yourself and don't let ANYONE change your opinion about yourself!
You sound smart enough to figure this out on yourself.
In the end, it doesn't matter if you sound cool or not,
it matters that you have been successful. and if you already are, then you mize well go for it, but not so much you start to look at yourself differently then when you did before you started to act cool.

Screw her, she has no right to say that to you. If she really appreciated you and the attention you give her, she would treat you unconditionally and accept you for who you are, how you talk and yada, yada. It would be highly inane for you to risk a "deal" just because of some girl you met on the internet. C'mon, you sound intelligent, now act like it. You father's legacy is far more important than some flash in the pan honey.

Seriously. Talking like that should NOT be a trun off for any women. If it is..this ladie needs to understand and get a grip of what you have lost. And how you feel that you have to ast older now that your parents are gone. Good luck :)

Just be who you are, and not worry about what other people think of you. Don't worry about, I understand what your talking about. Try meeting people who are on your level. You said you deal with lawyers and what not, try dating a lawyer. you might surprise yourself. Don't expect that to happen overnight, things take time. In the mean time just do what you normally do.

You should take that as a compliment most girls do like older guys she may be too young to appreciate the fact that you are much maturer for your age so you may need to meet older women that will appreciate that

I personally hate slang. If she dislikes you cause you have more maturity then most young men, then she is missing out. Some people find verbal charisma to be very attractive! ^.~
