ok can you help me balance this equation without using halfs?!

CO + O2 -----> CO2

2CO + O2 -----> 2 CO2

this would give you 2 carbon on both sides and 4 oxygen on both sides

Ok, trust me on this....
the equation is NOT already balanced.... the CORRECT equation is -
2CO + O2 ------ 2CO2
Pls believe me!
Sum of the other ppl who've answered are talking rubbish... this is deffo right!

OK so you have O2, each CO goes to CO2, taking one oxygen so you need two COs to use both oxygens.

2CO + O2 --------- 2CO2.

I'm not in modern education now, but this does not look like an equation. It looks like a chemical combination. Carbon monoxide mixed with oxygen to yield carbon dioxide, with an oxygen atom left over.
