i am using window xp and hve avg free version for home...its going great ..never a problem..i am finding it better than Norton and others as well...

Hahahahaha, of course MS doesn't think so.

They also don't like Linux, Firefox or free will of choice. If MS is not making the $ from the product why would they endorse a competitor?

If you were making widgets, would you tell potential customers that the store next door is making equally good or even better widgets for free? Ol' Bill did not become one of the richest guys in the world by sending business to the competition.

So to answer your question yes it is a good product. I've yet to have had a problem with it on any of my personal pc's or any of the pc's with problems I've fixed & installed it on.

AVG is totally worthless. It is JUNK. I recommend active virus shield

You're better off with a system that doesn't need antivirus:

yeah it is..microsoft wouldn't think so because it is not one of their products..therefore they hoped u would get one of theirs rather than that..
