How many hours per week do you work? Assuming it is 40 full hours, the you would be making approx $20/ hour.

But then you would have to consider that you will not be working every single day - there will be approx 10 national/ bank holidays and maybe you will take 2 weeks off - both these time off from work will not be counted in an hourly based salary until you complete a certain period of time

That is approximately $20/hour.

To arrive at that approximation divide the annual salary by 2080.

Again, this is an APPROXIMATION. It does not take into account holidays, sick leave, vacation, etc. But it does work as a rule of thumb.

Assuming a 40 hour work-week. If you get a pay stub with your check and it has the details of your base earnings for that pay period you might be able to divide your salary by 40 (or 80 if you're paid every other week) and come up with a closer idea of your hourly salary.

Better yet, ask personnel with the company to provide you with that information.

These are all approximates- just figuring 12 months in a year, 4 weeks a month, 40 hours in a work week. There is always a few extra days, vacation, etc...But this should help

Divide $41, 586/12=$3,465.50 a month

Figure 4 weeks in a month; $3456.50/4=$866.38 a week

40 hours a week; $866.38/40= $21.66/hr

The person who said not to ask your boss is right, plus the calculations are also correct. I hope you don't have to deal with money, if you do I would brush up on your skills. Good luck.

The short answer is divide the number of hours you'll be working in a year into your annual pay. However, a rough rule of thumb for full-time (40 hrs/wk) employees is to divide by 2,000 (There are 2080 working hours in a year, less ten days for holidays). Thus, your $41,586/yr translates to approximately $20.75/hr.

Assuming you work 40 hours a week, 52 weeks a year.....

$41,586 divided by 52 weeks = $799.73 a week divided by 40 hours = $19.99 an hour, so approximately 20 bucks an hour.

41,586/12=3465.50 monthly

3465.50/4=866.375 week

866.38/5=173.275 day

173.28/8=21.66 hr

Though, the actual number will vary with how many hours you actually put in each day. I wouldn't however mention to your new boss you had to ask this question.

Take 41,586 divide by 52,
that gives you your weekly income.

(about 800)
divide that by 40 (hours per week)

and that is $20 per hour.
