I'm 24, male, and suffer from extremely red and itchy dry skin on my face, particularly my forehead and just beneath my eyes. I've found that using a lot of moisturiser can help a bit, but nothing seems to make it go away completely. I don't eat meat - though I still eat fish, and use vitamin suppliments. Any suggestions?

Obviously moisturisers will help in alleviating the symptoms - use natural products based ones, my favourite is hemp seed oil cream - but the most important thing is getting enough essential fatty acids (EFAs) in your diet. Most people on a "normal" Western diet have nowhere near enough so supplementation is needed. My favourite source is hemp seed oil. Be aware that you need to take LARGE doses, at least 10 g per day, so buy it in bottles not capsules.

If you are into using supplements then you should try the very best on the market anywhere in the world. These are not vitamins, they are the food every cell in your body needs to stay healthy. Skin is just cells not behaving correctly. By putting the correct food back into the body, it will have the tools to keep itself healthy. For example, you would not put diesel in a petrol car, it was not designed for diesel. Likewise, the body is lacking in a particular supplemental food. You must drink at least 2 litres of clean, filtered water a day, which will help to flush toxins out of the system.
I cannot name the product here, due to restrictions on advertising. Suffice it to say, it is highly effective, and is based on 4 times Nobel Prize winning science. We are not talking snake oil here.
Take care

Golden linseed is great for dry skin, soak a few teaspoons in some water overnight and then gulp it down in the morning. Do this everyday and it should help loads.

Also make sure the lotion/cream you are using contains Urea- the most effective topical ingredient for dry skin.

I suffer terribly from dry skin on my face...or i did until i went to a local store that sells natural products.

I use a cream called Comfrey and Jojoba Complex Skin Repair Cream. The name and address on the jar are; Meadowsweet, Suffolk, IP14 1EG

I use it every day and its cleared my skin up no end and considering how dry it was and how my skin use to blister with most other moisturisers i highly recommend it!!!!

Forgive me but I am leaping off the cliffs of conclusion here and my bet is that you are also constipated, have dandruff and live in constant air conditioning. All of which strongly indicates you are dehydrated...and taking hot showers, using harsh soaps and...not getting enough fats in your diet. If it turns out to be eczema or roscesea All of the above still apply...my guess is that you are also a salter and are taking some meds that dry you out as well..

Drink one quart of water(not soda diet soda or coffee or tea but H2O) per 50 lbs of body weight per day. Get some olive oil and BUTTER cook with it and eat it...omega three/six oils are also good..flax seed oil, evening primrose oil, sesame oil...get some emu oil and use that as a moisturizer...DRINK it already..

I in simple terms research a product said as Bag Balm. initially used for cow udders in the wintry climate yet is now getting used for various issues, which consists of chapped fingers. i have not tried it, yet i visit %. some up in the present day. internet website says that's on the marketplace at drug shops, farm shops, puppy shops, hardware shops, feed shops, and tack shops. I regarded it up and a Walgreen's pharmacy through the position I stay consists of it. i have considered no longer some thing yet good issues about it.

Hmm, go see a dermatologist? Use a lot of lotion too for extra dry skin. Apply lotion on your face after you take a shower, and about 2 hours before you go to sleep.Apply a lot on too. Take care of your skin!
