Because they want us to slowly overpopulate the world and descend into filth and desperation so that we'll all turn to their god for hope for salvation in the afterlife. I've always wondered also how a pro-lifer can also be pro-death penalty. It's called unrealistic hypocrisy.

That's stereotyping. Typically, the Catholic pro-lifers are the ones who are anti-BC. Of course, there are those who are against the "morning after pill".

I have even heard many pro-life evangelical organizations or preachers who have suggested using birth control for various reasons (for example, I've heard Dr James Dobson of "FOcus on the Family" say that you should try to not have children too close together, implying birth control).

I'm not sure. I'm "pro-life", actively, but I'm for birth control. I think honestly that the "militant pro-lifers" (who are a minority, by the way) are simply people who have gotten too far into the whole "sex only for procreation" belief.
They don't understand that sex is supposed to be a sacred, holy union between man and woman, as a testament to them being joined as one. It's not only for creating children.

Actually there is a Federal anti birth control law from 1873 that is still on the books.

It is against the law to have sex for any reason other than procreation.

First, they're militant pro-birthers. They could care less about the child's life as long as it gets pushed out of the womb. They don't care about its economic well being, its education, its health care, as long as it is born. Second, they're using the oldest trick in the (christian) playbook of trying to control the population through controlling its sexuality. Many of these believe that through overpopulating the planet and depleting its resources, they'll bring on the Rapture. I wish it would hurry up. Our planet would be much better off without them.

They aren't. You are speaking of Catholics, and they do lead the pro-life fight.

In my pro-life opinion, Catholicism is part of the problem.

I have always said that in 1963, with the invention of "the pill," women got the right to choose. We didn't need the choice of 1973.

Any method which keeps the egg from being fertilized should be acceptable, even to catholics.

Because for what ever reason they fail to realize that if more people use birth control then there will be fewer abortions. This is not rocket science.

Better question; Why are militant pro-choicers want to push their secularist beliefs in the world?

They are not welcome in Muslim Countries.
