in the past few weeks my dad has walked in on me twice while I was naked for no reason really. I would just forget it and be more careful with my door. But I'm sure he thinks i'm masturbating or something, which I am NOT, but I would really lose his respect if he thinks this. I think I should tell him I was not masturbating, but I don't know how it would fly that I was just naked for no real reason. its pointless if he responds like "keep your clothes on and stop thinking about sex." I want more of a "oh, good girl, let's never speak of this again" response. any thoughts.

Just let it go. Dad's will think what they want to think whether we were doing anything at all. Even if you were masterbating it is ok, that is normal and he is crazy to think he never did it when in reality he probably does it daily. For now on lock your door and try not to just be in your room naked for no reason. Girls grow up and he will have to accept that one day.

I would focus more on your need for privacy. Tell your Dad that you are comfortable with your body and like being nude. Let him know that he needs to knock before coming into your room. You need to be sure you close the door if you want to be naked.

Well, he shoud knock first for one thing. Even if you are a minor, the least a parent ought to do under normal circumstances is knock on the door of your room for politnmess sake and never just walk in unannounced.
Honestly... I used to lie around naked in the privacy of my room, simply because we did not have AC in Texas when I was a teen, and after school I might strip down and just lie there chilling out as much as possible before showering or changing into something else...but that was my business and nobody elses!
My Parents did not walk in on me because they would always knock first as a sign of mutual respect, I learned not to barge in on them, and they afforded me the same respect.
So, politely ask him to knock first!

Dad needs' to knock before entering a teenage daughters room. You don't owe an apology for being nude, he owes you an apology fo barging in. It may be time to bring this up with mom. In the meantime, get a tapered wedge of some kind (wood?) for the base of the door for security.

Well sometimes i'm getting dressed and my dad pops in and asks questions like do u have the phone and i yell and say dad can i have private time dressing! try putting a lock on ur door and tell ur dad that u would really appircate if u could do what ever ur doing naked! and explain why ur naked in ur room ... and that ur not doing what he thinks possible ur doing.

Just be careful not to be naked at inappropriate times. As far as masturbating is concerned there is nothing wrong with it at all but just ensure you have privacy when you do it. It is a natural function and both releases sexual tension and gives pleasure. 95% of people do it and, distasteful though you may find it, you can bet your parents do it or have done it themselves. People who DON'T masturbate are abnormal, not those who do. If he is narrow minded I wouldn't mention it.

You should talk to your dad. But choose an appropriate moment to do so. Not when he comes from work, not when you see hes stressed, not at the end of the day when hes tired. That way your chances of being understood are higher though with some people doesn't really matter.

you need to explain to him that you need your on space and that you like to be in the nude as long as your in your own room. Let him know that it's time that he start knocking before he comes in. Your a girl and you have the right to privacy.

what happened to your dad knocking-and I would just be straight up-nothing is wrong with materbating-your Dad does it too-and you know isnt it strange he just walks into your room?
