I have a girlfriend, but I also have a good friend.
Ive none my friend for many years, and hes been there alot for me, espacially when my parents were fighting and split and what not, he let me stay at his house for a while,
But I Love my girl friend alot but I dont tell her nearly as much as I do him, he seems like a brother, he tells when Im upset and stuff before my girlfriend...
is this normal for friends because I recently thought bout it, and it seems a bit odd

The friend has been through a lot with you, it's only normal that you trust him with more of your real feelings. Don't worry about it.

You are lucky to have such a close friend, he is like a brother to you. There is nothing odd about that at all. Most people have a sounding board in their life. If your relationship with your girlfriend continues to grow and you end up knowing her for many years then she will no you as well as your friend does now. He has had quite a head start on her, so don't sweat it. Everyone has friends that they can go to and discuss issues and life in general- there is nothing wrong with any thing here...

Its not odd at all you guys are best friends and because you've known each other for so long you know how the other is feeling. Its perfectly natural but as for your other issue..your girlfriend should understand that you trust your best friend more because you guys have known each other for so long. She might be a little jealous of that but she will eventually get used to it.Even though youre in love your relationship with your friend should not take a backseat to the one with your girlfriend. Friends before girlfriends ALWAYS!!!

It is completely normal. My sister is my best friend and she knows everything. i have never tolled any guy i have dated everything. there is a line between what you can tell and what you cant tell someone you are going out with and until you reach a point in your relationship that you are completely open, then they will not know you as well as that person you tell everything to.

Trust yourself the most and try to be happy learning about yourself first and being alone. Have quiet times each week outdoors under trees to listen to your inner voice. Then you can make better decisions about other people. You'll see.

I don't understand why you would consider that anything other than normal. Sounds like you have a great friendship going.

You don't have to give up your friend or your girlfriend, but there should be boundaries. Don't give all your attention to you "buddy", because now you have to share yourself with your girlfriend.
