what list of ways is there to become a florida resident and not wait 12 months

File a paper claiming Florida as your state of residence!
Called a writ of domocile

IT is actually 6 months unless it is for tuition purposes. You can file a decleration of domicile to have the 6 months waived, but I don't know a way to waive the tutition requirement.

immediatly switch your drivers liecense/car tags & insurence... get a job ... and a residence and you will pretty much be a full fledge Floridian at this point.
