Hon, you mean the Dead Sea Scrolls. The Red Sea is what Moses parted so Israel could leave Egypt.
The Dead Sea Scrolls are parchments that were found in the caves at Qumran. There's a lot of controversy about content and the meaning thereof for Christianity. But that's the gist of what they are.

The Dead Sea Scrolls are religious writings of a group of Jews called the Essenes. Some scholars have speculated that Jesus may have belonged to this group. They had a monastic-like lifestyle. The scrolls were found in jars in the caves of Qumran in Israel in the 1960's. Parts of most of the books of the Old Testament were found in them (I think Esther was the only one missing). Examples of other documents included:
The Damascus Document
The War Scroll
The Book of Enoch
The Book of Noah
There are also several commentaries on Old Testament books.
A complete translation of all of them (minus the Bible books) can be found in The Complete Dead Sea Scrolls in English, tranlated by Geza Vermes.

I think you mean Dead Sea Scolls, rumoured to be lost remnants of what Christians consider to be the Holy Bible.
