Talk to your dance teacher.

Also what kind of production are you auditioning for? That should factor in how you dress. If it is for a professional company you want to dress professional, leotard, tights, etc. You don't want to look sleezy or skanky because they are looking for elegance.

Dance Audition Clothes

What kind of audition is it? Anytime I go to an audition with no regulations regarding dress code I always try to wear red. Wearing red makes you stand out from all the black that will inevitably be in the room. The panel will notice you in the crowd.

ah audition time. have ur hair slicked back in a bun and wear a funky colored/designed scrunchie or ribbon around it. dont just wear a black leotard. you need to stick out. wear red or purple or some color like that. pink or tan tights of course. maybe a cute dance sweater or leg warmers too. at auditions you want to stand out and catch the teachers eye. you need to look put together, but different. in the audition you want the spotlight to be on you. trust me, ive gone thru enough auditions and i have to be in "the auditions" of "a chorus line" (great show!) good luck!

that depends on what kind of dance audition you are auditioning for...depending on type it should be from nothing (nude) to an evening gown or any were in between. Just don't look sloppy and as you say be comfortable. Suit the type of audition.

depends on what the audition is for, but being an audition would want to wear something sexy so they can see me and my dancing. a low cut leotard with bare legs and sexy but appropriate shoes. Open back would be best. thong depending, such as a vegas show.

it depends on the dancing your auditoning 4. do wear sum type of leotard and stretchy pants to move freely in but i also agree w/ PhantomGurl. wear somethign attractive that makes you stand out but nothing that makes u uncomfortable or look trashly. wear somthing that will impress the judges and make them remember you. your dancing will determine whether what they remember is good or bad though so i hope this helped and good luck!!!!

P.S. dancing is a big part of my life and im sure it will be a big part in yours too but dont let it control your life. theres much more to life than dancing even if it is one of the coolest things to do. my advice to you (which is the same advice my mom gave to me) always have sumthing to fall back on in case your dancing fall through. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

Im sure you make it though!!! :)

It really depends on what you're auditioning for.

A Ballet company- (pref.) Black leotard (not one of those leotards with buit in shorts, you want to try to show off your legs), pink tights, hair neatly in a bun.

But for other auditions such as theatre, tap, jazz- I usually wear black jazz pants, skin colored tights, black leotard, and a bright colored tanktop over the leo. : )

make sure that you wear something that stands out, but stays with the theme of whatever you're auditioning for. make sure that your hair is nice and out of your face. and your make-up needs to be on point. let's face it, we live in a very shallow world, so make sure that you highlight your physical attributes. also, if your leaps are your best move, make sure you draw attention to them. like wearing something with your legs out. or if your turns are the bomb, then accent your head, so that they can see how clean your turns are. good luck!

It really depends on what type style the dance is. If it is hip hop wear something loose. If it is Jazz wear something flashy. It all depends on what your dancing to. TRUST ME I KNOW!!!!!!!!
