i am in english 9H... in my HS in Coby, NY...
that means i am taking 9th grade honors english...
we have to read a certain KIND of book each month...
September= FULL LENGTH PLAY.
i chose The Tempest by Shakespeare from a list of pre-approved titles....
i had no idea what i was getting my self into.
we have to write journal responses to the book in a "NR book" as she calls it.
they each have to be a minimum of 4 [[effing]] paragraphs!
i started the book and had no idea what they were talking about!
it is all in old english...
I QUOTE: "we are less afraid to be drowned than thou art".
crazy stuff.
so basically...
my NR book is due tomorrow and i haven't written ONE entry.
i tried cheating on spark notes... i will print them and try that...
but other than that...
can anyone HELP...

Firstly, I think you should try to understand the book and ask your parents for help. If that still doesn't work

I suggest you just go to http://nfs.sparknotes.com/tempest/

That way you can get the old english version, right next to the modern english version. Line for line throughout the entire book.

Oh yes, and I can relate to you. In 9th grade, which was last year for me, we had to write a 5 page essay on Romeo and Juliet. It was awful.

why do people wait until the last minute to ask for help? How can anything be achieved in such a short time. www.enotes.com/tempest see if this site is of any help to you , also you could go to the library and as for it in comic book form and read that, it would at least be written in plain english so u can understand what he is saying. ask the librarian for help.
