I've had mri's on my head, neck, shoulder and leg. It is painless but I thought it was a weird experience. For that reason, you may like to know that you can take someone with you, right inside the room with the scanner. I was never offered this, I only found out by asking. For me, it made a difference to have a friend close, not waiting outside.

No reason to be scared. It is just like an xray. You have to make sure you do not have any metal on or in your body. It is a Magnetic Resonance Imaging xray. It will take usually anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour depending on how many views your doctor wants. They will ask you to lie still. It sounds like a beating drum or a woodpecker. I have had so many of them I can't count how many I have had. Nothing to be afraid of so just relax.

The MRI scanner uses magnetic resonance to align hydrogen atoms in a certain alignment to get its picture. It's perfectly safe, no radiation. I'm a psychological researcher who uses MRI techniques to study functional and anatomical processes in the brain. If it's safe for your brain, it'll be safe for your wrist.

they'll lay you on the table, placed this factor around the wrist, like a container sort factor. it is going to help your wrist and save it nonetheless and additionally take the photos. Than you would be slid into the device. It would not harm or something. that's loud however.
