I'm considering getting a bikini/brazilian wax. Anyone ever had one before? If so, how bad does it hurt? I imagine a lot worse than eyebrows...How long afterwards does it hurt and how often should it be done?

My mom gets them done, and we used to wax my legs during the winter, so I am somewhat knowledgeable about bikini waxes. It hurts a hell of a lot more than any other kind of waxing, esp. if you are doing it for the first time, but you can buy (sometimes they have this at the salon) a numbing cream to put on your skin a half hour before to help, and taking a pain killer an hour before can help too. She only got them in the summer, so maybe three each 3 month long period, so I suppose once every month or so would be fine. My legs always hurt for a couple hours after wards, and I read in a magazine that you are supposed to wear boxers for the day after wards so your underwear isn't rubbing against and irritating the waxed flesh.
