It depends all on ur specialization in engineering. Of course a CS Engineer can work online but not a Civil Engineer. Its imp that ur question is complete before u expect sensible complete answers.

It may be difficult to get an engineering job online. That's uasually a hands-on position. You can try utility companies, cell phone companies, etc.
