Are they slippers, shoes, mutated sneakers? Flip-flop wannabes? What are they, I see people wearing these and get infuriated. What are they suppose to be? Please explain what these things are?

They are weird looking foam shoes that were originally intended to be a water shoe for boaters. But have really taken off in the health care industry as a light-weight, super comfortable shoe for people who are on their feet a lot. They do make versions without the holes and with holes only on the sides, but due to the material they are made of, your feet are excessively warm and sweat, not good :P.
I used to own 4 pairs and wore them to work (I'm a CNA), I really had liked them, but I tripped all the time in them, and my fellow coworkers said the same thing they trip too in them. My constant tripping flared up my hip injury, causing it to be constantly painful. (Now that I stopped wearing them my injury stopped hurting). Other coworkers have complained of similar pains, ranging from ankle to back pain from these shoes.
I've seen these shoes popular for children as well, since they are machine washable and you can just toss them in if they're dirty or whatever, but I wouldn't wear them without socks, your feet sweat too much and that causes them to slide around more.

They were originally boat shoes, but the popularity of their comfort has made them anytime shoes. They had flip flop style, and they are also have some that are trying to be more tennis shoe style. They are Crocs, they're their own thing.

The are very comfortable shoes, to some they may be ugly but they are not meant to be fashionable and on the pages of Vogue, they are meant to be comfortable and that's what they are. I am a hair stylist and on my feet all day and these shoes are a godsend. They have different styles for whatever you need them for, I have the "professional" style and the have holes around them so your feet can never smell and no buckles or shoe strings so you don't have to feel tied down and you don't have to worry about stopping to tie or buckle. They are very lightweight and wide fitting for any foot.They just are what they are. I don't plan on wearing them to a dance club or party so I don't care how they look, their just comfortable.

i agree.. they are the UGLIEST shoes every BUT they are so comfy, i wear them also because I sell AVON and do alot of walking from door to door, and they are wonderful! i have never had any "health problems" actually i have bad feet and these dont hurt my feet at all, and they do have holes so no smells, and the "rubber" of the real croc brand shoe si smade out of an anti bacterial rubber so that there is not fungi worries! i dont care how ugly they are they are comfy!

i dont know what they are but they are supposedly really comfy but as ugly as crap. I guess you can describe them as cheap looking plastic clog rip - offs with funny oblong holes in them. They are supposed to be water shoes but many people wear them normally. grrrr

i dont have any but some ppl i know do they are those shoes w/ holes in them and they come in like all differnt colors there really ugly

They are ugly. I don't get infuriated, I just think that they are ugly, and people onhly buy them because 'everyone else is'.

crocs r the coolest shoes in the world and u can get a pair in any color they r soft and foamy u can buy them at payless or any big store at the mall

theyre supposed to be water shoes. crocs, crocodiles, water..get it now? i dont like them either.
