I have a website, but don't know how to edit the page. I am ignorant when it comes to computer terminology. Please help me what I should do beside taking classess. Is there a software that will teach me step by step, perhaps visually?

Some website servers work better than others. The best to learn on are at geocities, provided free by yahoo. I started with that, and now I've got dozens going. Dreamweaver as they other answerer said, is great, and so is FrontPage. I think there are several webpage creators free to download at microsoft & at download.com.

Dreamweaver is a great tool.

And the HTML for Dummies book is just fine (since this Q is in the Books and Authors section).

There are some online sources as well. Obviously the Internet is using computers and websites so there is a ton of info on the Internet about itself!

Tip: when asking for help on oddball sites like this one, include the link to your page so you can get the best results. The more information to work with -- the better the response.

To answer your question, yes. There aren't very many that are good enough with a visual editor that are free. However, use the one below for the free trial. It is easy to cancel once trial is up.
This is what I used when I was first starting.

To make pages fast, or without knowing HTML use the drag and drop WYSIWYG Visual Editor. It is basically what you see is what you get. It allows you to edit right on the page. Once you make a change you can click over to the code and see the changes that are being made. This helped me to figure out .html code.

Also, the best place to go to learn is W3Schools.com. This is an awesome tutorial website that explains exactly what to do along with examples for you to see.

Hope that helps!

I would suggest a program like Macromedia Dreamweaver.
