For everyday home use the cheap Maxwell house is the only kind that is consistent every time. Other brands are at the whim of the market and can be better than Maxwell house for one can and taste like dishwater for the next can. So for best everyday cheap - make at home - it is Maxwell house. Folgers runs high in the answers here - but it is the most inconsistent of any I tried. We also call it bilge water (The water that sloshes around in the hull of your yacht).

100% Kona is the second best coffee in the world behind Jamaican Blue. You can order it online. It can be a bit pricey for coffee, but it is definitely worth it.

I bought 2lbs. before I moved from Hawaii last month, and I have to start looking for some soon.
Also, if you invest in a grinder, the coffee will be fresher. Buying whole beans will ensure you have the freshest coffee at home.

I like flavored coffee, so if you're at the grocery store Folgers is good. Gas station coffee has to go to Kwik Trip, And if I feel like plunking down four bucks for a drink, it has to go to Caribou Coffee- they're Turtle Mocha Lattes are awesome!
