My league allows you to play 3 WRs. I am starting TJ Houshmandzadeh and Terry Glenn. I have the following available to take the 3rd spot:

Chris Chambers (MIA) v. Texans
Derrick Mason (BAL) v. Chargers
Joe Horn (NO) v. Panthers
Reggie Williams (JAX) v. Redskins

Who should I play as my 3rd receiver, and why do you think this particular player should get the start?

I would start Chambers just because the Texans are dead last in the league in pass defense. Although, Culpepper hasn't had a standout game yet, this might be it! Against a defense that has trouble pretty much stopping anything. So i would go that road. Mason is going up against an underrated 7Th ranked Chargers pass defense this year. So I wouldn't expect much out of him, also because McNair hasn't been throwing any touchdowns. Horn will get his looks, but the Panthers will be playing with some ferociousness, since they haven't been playing up to par. Also, Horn would be matched up with a good DB in Ken Lucas. If i had to choose a 2nd player from that list, it would be Reggie Williams, just because of his height and athletic ability to go up and get the ball. He might have a big day against the smaller corners of the Redskins, but watch out of that lurking hard-hitting safety of Sean Taylor. Who is a head-hunter looking for someone to hurt, and Williams won't go through the middle of the field without thinking of that man. I can assure you of that!

Hope this helps! :)

I think it's Culpepper's week to throw well against a horrible Houston D. Chambers is a great WR and I think he's going to do especially well this week. I would put Chambers in before Terry Glenn. If Brunell could go 24-of-27 for 261 yards and a touchdown while completing passes to eight different players against Houston then I have a feeling Miami's WRs are gonna see a lot of catches as well

Don't even hesitate on this one. Start Chambers against that terrible Texans defense. He will be money this week!

Mason isn't likely to do much against a tough Chargers D... Horn is no longer #1 in New Orleans (Colston is)... Williams won't produce much against Washington now that Matt Jones is back in the lineup.

Go with Chambers against Houston today and you can't miss!

Good Luck!

i would play chris chambers as he is going up against the texans who have one of the worst defences in rushing and passing. chris chambers is a big play type of guy and i feel that culpepper will play well today. the other three are all solid no.3 wr as well but theyre all playing against solid defences. the chargers have been playing well defencively and you cant count on mcnair who isbt a statistical monster which wont help mason. williams plays well one week like week 2 but the other week does nothing like week 3 and has a qa that blows hot and cold. the panthers defence i feel will be like their old selfs and will have their crowd behind them so i dont see the saints passing game getting going. so i think the best and safest bet will be chambers.
Good luck!

Reggie Williams. With Matt Jones still hurting he is the 2nd go to guy right behind Ernest Wilford. Wilford is the go to guy now since Jones is hurting, which means the defnse will have to cover Wilford leaving Williams to snag up those big catches. He also is playing Washington whos defense is hurting. Expcet a score out of Williams.
