It will recognize it only if it is plugged into the front USB ports. Does anyone know why that would be or how I can fix it?

There were no drivers included with the hard drive, and the back USB ports work for everything else.

You might have your back USB disabled. Check your motherboard's BIOS.

umm if it dont work on any other ones there may be a problem with the motherboard but aslong as it works on thr front ports then thats great you can use your drive, please provide more details for furher help.

Put in your software disc for the hard drive.
