i think the fish are african chihlids.

It depends on the species of fish. Some can be as short as 3-4 days. Others can be as long as a week to 10 days. Water temp has a lot to do with it also. A little warmer water and it takes less time.

I have some angelfish eggs right now that should start wiggling in about 6 more days.

My chiclid eggs hatched in a few days. Mom was very protective and was holding them in her mouth to protect against the male. Then all the babies disappeared, the male started attacking the female and I have 1 chiclid left. That was in 2000. He is big and gets along with no one.
