he doesn't talk to me, we don't have sex and he never wants to spend time with me anymore. to add to all this he now seems to be recieving lots of messages and phone calls at odd hours and always leaves the room to make calls.
recently he's been making comment about what kinds of things he's going to do when he's single again and has even told me that a female friend of his has offered to lend him money so that he can move out of our house and get his own flat. I don't know what to do.

Wow.. definitely doesn't seem like a good situation. No matter how hard you try to fix things up with him at this point, it sounds like he already made up his mind that it's not going to work out and he doesn't want to try. It's probably time to move on and find someone else who will care about you more. I'd talk to friends and make sure you have a plan to cover rent or whatever else if he decides to suddenly move out. Be ready and don't let him screw you over!

How awful. I'm really so sorry.
You need to leave now as this relationship is toxic and you are the one who will bear the wounds.
I think his comments are to make you go so he doesn't feel so bad about leaving you.

A relationship is two people! You should be talking to him about this. Communication is a two way process, kick it off, organise a nice dinner, talk it out, and if it's over, get the finances and property sorted quickly before it becomes adversarial and move on. From teh way your question is worded it does not sound like either of you is particularly happy.

Do u still love him after all? Ask yourself do u need such kind of relationship? I know it's hard for u now, but u should keep your dignity. He hurts u, do the same to him, tell him that u don't love him anymore, that you're bored and besides u have a new man! Good luck!

Stop carrying around the corpse of a relationship that is already dead. End it ASAP. Even though you don't want it to end. It sounds like he's trying to get you to initiate the end because he's a wuss. You deserve to have someone who is sincerely into you. Don't waste another 5 years. Don't attach yourself to him through the misery. Then, go out for martinis with the girls.

It sounds like he doesn't want to be with you anymore and the only reason his still there is because he has no where else to go.
Sit down with him and have a proper talk, find out what his doing and how he feels.
If he doesn't want to be with you just let him go and find someone who appreciates you and wants to be with you.

Tell him to leave now and when you find the next one don't be so accommodating. Make him work for your attention and even harder for your favours.
If you live at the Ritz the food can still be boring if food is all you want.

Sorry to sound harsh, but get rid of him. You are clearly unhappy. I have been through this crap myself. I moved out and have had the best life ever since. Better to move on and concentrate on making yourself happy.
Hope all works out for you!

This man is a coward, something is going on and he doesn't have the guts to either be honest or to be the one who breaks up. On that basis I would bag up his stuff, leave it outside the door and change the locks. He is the one who has lost out, not you.
