People liking to watch themselves cry is not what is behind looking at yourself in the mirror when crying. What is behind it is wanting to see the physical reaction as well as the emotional reaction. Unknowingly we become curious as to weather are physical reaction "mirrors" what we are feeling emotionally. Also looking at yourself in the mirror is a way for some to hold on to the reaction (crying). This behaviour is can be seen in other situations as well. Think of the last time you looked at a picture of yourself and made the comment "Look how excited I am" again this is wanting to see that your physical matches your emotional.

I don't think they do generally but if you're talking about films or stuff it usually involves some sort of self recrimination. The crying is not the important bit in that case it's the blame, shock, shame, whatever of what they've done and they are searching their faces for reasons why they are where they are.
I have watched myself cry in the mirror but in my case it was shock tactics. I had to go to work and needed to pull myself together. I figured the sight of my apallingly puffy eyes might help. It did, I was horrified!

I don't. It ruins your face. Who do you know who cries in front of the mirror? Are they crying about what they see in the mirror?

I've never cried in front of the mirror - I don't look very good when I cry, I get red, swollen eyes and my skin goes patchy. I wouldn't want to watch that!

I think the more appropriate question is why do you cry in front of a mirror bc people dontdo that.

Have the answers given made you realise that you aren't quite in touch with reality? You know, one sandwich short of a picnic.
