I had the same problem and I tried everything (including industrial solutions) to clear the stench. It doesn't work. You'll have to go and buy a new freezer. Sorry.

How can I remove an odor from my refrigerator?

Here are four suggestions for removing the odor:

Unplug the refrigerator and thoroughly wash the inside of the unit with a mixture of two tablespoons of baking soda dissolved in one quart of warm water. Wash the shelves, drawers, accessories and gaskets. Be sure to wash corners, crevices or grooves where odor-causing liquid may have settled. Dry thoroughly.
Place activated charcoal or activated carbon in a shallow bowl and leave it in the refrigerator while it is running for several days. The charcoal or carbon is available where aquarium and/or plant and garden supplies are sold. It will become saturated but can be reactivated by heating in a 300 degree oven for one hour and then put back into the refrigerator. Try this for about 10 days.
Place toothpaste (not the gel type) on small pieces of foil and set in several spots in the refrigerator.
Lightly crumple sheets of newspaper and loosely pack a refrigerator shelf which has been emptied of food. Sprinkle the newspaper with water and close the door. Replace the newspaper every 1-2 days. In 5-6 days the odor should be gone.
If odor gets into the plastic lining or the insulation of the refrigerator, it can take a long time to dissipate.

Avoid using any liquid except water and baking soda. The chemicals from bleach or windex might seep through the packaging and spoil food in the future.

Using a damp, warm cloth, sprinkle baking soda into freezer bottom and use some elbow grease to scrub everything. Then wipe clean with damp warm cloth until the gritty feeling is gone.

Unfortunately it sounds like the blood from the meat got down in crevices in your freezer or the smell would not have lasted this long. My daughter had the same experience in an apartment she rented. It was disgusting and completely ruined the fridge. I think your going to need a new one soon.

Try spraying either Clorox or Windex. Either of those will kill anything. I left my Jeep out in the rain with the top down and everything mildewed. I finally pulled the carpeting up and sprayed Clorox all over the floor and Windex all over the upholstery and left it in the garage to dry for a few days. Now the smell is gone.

defrost and unplug it then take a bag of charcoal. (the kind for bbq not briquets must be the charcoal take it out of the bag and spread it around in the freezer close the lid and leave for a week or two then check it if the smell still is slight leave it a little longer. ( stuff the rest ofthe space with newspapers as they also absorb smell) good luck it worked for me

It may be in the insulation. It may need to be replaced if you can get to it and replace it. Appliance supply stores that deal strictly in parts, can probably order some for you. They can tell you over the phone if you give them all necessary information. They have computers that can look up any part, including nuts and bolts etc. located on just about any appliance you can immagine, if it is not older than 20 yrs.

Take everything out, unplug the fridge and bleach the inside of it. Let it air out for a while, like a couple of hours, then put in some arm n hamer for the fridge in it and put everything back. It should do the trick.

As a vegetarian, this grossed me out even thinking about rotting flesh in your freezer!
Have you tried bleaching it?
Or just go and buy a new freezer...oh, and stop keeping dead creatures in it!!!!!
