The Crusades were a series of religious medievil wars waged by European countries, with the involvement of the Roman Catholic church, against the inhabitants of the countries surrounding the city of Jerusalem, in the Middle-East.

Perfect example of what's wrong with spell-checkers taking over for really learning how to spell. Since you did not spell "crusades" correctly, you got nowhere when you searched on it, right? What did the spell checker here say when you put in this question?
