Some quick advice. In English questions the question always sounds more complicated than it is. If you read the answers and half of them don't make any sense then pick the one that does.

Other than that study hard and good luck.

It would have to be B. The want dessert now, because for the others, the correct sentences would be:

a) Maureen called the children for their meals.
c) Mary and Jil won't eat their vegetables.
d) The waiter refilled their glasses as they emptied them.

That would be B

A should read "Maureen called the for .
C should read "l won't eat vegtables.
D should read "The waiter refilled their as they emptied .

The answer is B becoz -
1. In option B, 'their' stands for the noun 'boys'.
2. (By eliminating wrong choices)
In A, 'his' does not stand for 'children' as the noun is
not masculine singular. Correct ans. is 'their'.
In C, 'her' cannot stand for 'Mary and Jill' as here we
need a plural pronoun i.e. 'their.'
In D, the noun 'glasses' requires neuter plural pronoun
which should be 'them' not 'it'.
