Americans are mostly thought to be quite ignorant about other places of the world. Is that true? I would like to know esp. what you think/know about Europe (where I live) and Muslims/Muslim countres. I already see there is a lot of hatred against Muslims in America, but how many people have a different view? I would also like to know what are your sources by which you form your opinion (media, books, friends.......)

I have always been fascinated by cultures different from mine. I form an idea about another culture by meeting people from that culture, observing how they life and their attitudes, reading books, sometimes watching programs on TV, having relatives who have married people from other cultures, etc. I have a positive attitude about people around the world.
