Most definitely......Imagine how you would feel should something happen and you had kept quite and said nothing!! It takes a lot of courage to tell a friend they are in the wrong, but a true friend will understand, forgive and hopefully act on the advice you have given them. Hope it all works out, and your friend thinks long and hard!

To right you were spot on its plonkers like him that walk away from a accident while his son or some else son gets killed. If it were me and he did it again i would shop him before he killed some one. Just think you would have to live with the fact that you could of stopped him murdering some one because that is what he is doing driving like that.

You were right to tell him your concern, and you should have told him before. I think you should have tried to not let him drive the other time. Never give him pain killers! And if he is a good friend or at least willing to listen you should keep telling him about this until he listens.

You shouldn't have let him drive home in the first place and i think that you know that. isnt that why you're asking this here? because you feel guilty about what could have happened. After doing so though, you took the best course of action. thats what freinds are for - to tell you when you're being an idiot.

In my opinion, You were right to voice your concern maybe now your friend will consider his son's well being and his own. Who Knows? You may have inspired him to stop

I hope you didn't give him any painkilers. You should have taken his key away. Don't worry about hurting his feelings. He is headed for disaster and could kill others including his son. Urge him to get help or report him if you know he is DUI.

You were right to voice your concerns.
However, if you are in this situation again, you should not let him drive. I know it wouldn't be the nicest thing for you to have to do, to stand up to a friend, but you have a responsibility to everyone out there, to do your utmost to prevent someone who is unfit to drive from getting behind the wheel.

no! it was not wrong to voice ur concern. as as friend, it is you duty to make sure ur friend is safe and can count on you. by telling ur friend about his problem u r doing what you are supposed to do.
if ur friend comes over stoned again, DO NOT let him drive!! no matter how much he refuses, drive him home or get a cab for him.

first, i do blame you if you gave him the 3 strong painkillers...out of commen sense...knowing he was stoned that he didnt need them....
Secondly, you was right to voice your concern...
what he did was so wrong on differ levels that he needs to be bltched slapped back to reality.....
next time..he comes over that stoned...make him leave....dont be a part of it...
coz if he took those pain killers....and left your house...and had a wreck...killing his son, him or someone else...and they traced that medication back to you...you would be on a whirl of crap!!
next time think!!
