if you want to do mathematics, then the kind of job would be as a professor, and you actually need more than just the degrees, you need to publish lots of articles
if you decide you want to work in "industry" then you will need to know some computer science, finance, or other kind of thing

People do not really become Mathematicians. The seed begins at birth.
If , for example, there is a greater tendency of the individual to innately use his left hemisphere of the brain more than the right side, he/she would be a natural. If on the other hand, or more precise, the right hemisphere, that person would be a natural philosopher, for example.
This does not mean that the right hemisphere person can not become a mathematician. That would be ludicrous to even think it. But considering (ceteris paribus) the natural will no doubt be the better Mathematician.

Well you need a love for the subject, an obsession perhaps is what seperates the great from the not so great.
It's never going to be easy, intellect, intuition and drive are all necessary.
Also, mathematics has expanded so much that nowadays mathematicians choose a branch of math to carry on with (though they do the basics for most stuff at undergrad level atleast)

The usual path is to be good at math in school, and keep going through graduate school in mathematics until you are doing original work.

There are exceptions to this. Read about the life of Ramanujan, one of the most astonishing mathemeticians ever.
