If you go to any health food store they sell lozenges that are made from the bark of a tree, I forget the name, but they work I've bought them for my son who is a singer in a band...I just remembered the name it's call Slippery Elm they really work all the big singers use this product with good results. My son says it coats his throat, and stops the vocal cords from being irritated. Happy singing.

You may want to talk to your doctor about a tosilectomy. A recurring problem like that usually will make you a candidate for the surgery. I know surgery sounds extreme, but I had the same problem for years, and after a tosilectomy I have been sore-throat free for 3 years.

As with most professional singers and others who user their voices as their identity. Protect your voice by controlling what you eat and drink. If you are one who loves to continuously drink soda, then you will have problems with your throat.
Learn how to cut out the sugars and caffeine in your diet. It will drastically effect your voice and the strength of your vocal cords.
