I had a working LAN connection between my two PC's. It is not working now, i have checked up the cable and that green light e adapter, IP addresses are 192.168.0.1 ( for main PC) and 192.168.0.2 for the other PC. The XP troubleshooter cant solve the issue and i am stuck, can you please suggest what may be wrong here?

Probably one of the cat 5 cables. There are 8 wires (4 pairs) only 2 pairs are actually used. The green light only needs one pair intact to work. So the little light doesn't guarantee that the cable is good. Look at the light on both ends to determine if the cable is intact. You didn't mention if you are using a crossover cable or if you are using a switch/router/hub but you can use any switch as a poor mans wire checker. Just plug both ends in to the switch and watch the little lights. This won't tell you anything about the quality of the cable, just whether or not there is continuity.

I gather you are using a crossover cable. Try disconnecting and reconnecting each end of the cable while both computers are off. Some network adapters rermained powered even when the computer is off. So in order to fully reset these adapters you will need to pull the power plug to the pc for about 10-15 seconds before reconnecting. And if you are using a router, pull its power plug for about 10 seconds also.

First off, try to ping each PC from itself. If this doesn't work you either have a bad NIC or corrupt protocol stack. That would be highly unusual on 2 PCs at the same time, however.
Make sure that the firewalls on both PCs are either turned off, or are set to allow communications with each other. This is by far the most likely cause of your problem.

This happend to me once while doing some configurations with a router. If possible, go into the router settings and see if anything has been slightly changed. Call your internet provider to double check what your IP Addresses are (not the 192.168.x.x but the static ones). Again, this is probably a network problem, so check all router settings.

If you are using cables that resemble a phone cable only larger (I believe it's called CAT 5 cabling), try switching the cables around to see if you can get one of the computers to work. This type of cable has been known to go bad even though nothing visual appears broken.

the position are human beings getting this stupid theory of deleting "interior of sight section Connection"?????????/ It can't be deleted, only disabled by skill of community Connections on proper of issues Panel. Your LAN card is a chunk of hardware, you could only "uninstall" it by skill of device manager or perhaps then, each and every time you reboot, it really is going to reload the driver from the sys32 folder of living house windows. besides, we do not opt for to even attempt to get rid of it as we choose it to community with contained in the first position!!! before each little thing, what variety of community are you attempting to envision. Is it computing device to computing device, computing device to Broadband Hub? Secondly, no matter if it really is computing device to computing device, have you ever allowed folder sharing on the computing device's because in case you've not, you is totally no longer waiting to get admission to folders or files on the different computing device. I presume that computing device networking is a extremely new component to you and also you've were given a restricted understanding (no longer wishing to patronise in any respect, I promise). i'd recommend you look at some forums first as Microsoft's wizards aren't any more so magnificent in networking. Oh, and thirdly, if you're attempting to community to a unique computing device, you want to make sure that both computing device's are on an same workgroup, or you'll not in any respect get them to communicate with one yet another. Regards Steve
